Early Childhood Education - Essential Skills for the Workplace 2023-2024
Overview
Essential Skills for the Workplace (ESWP) is a program designed to provide students with the skills they need for work, further learning and life. The program includes opportunities for students to learn document use, critical thinking, communication, numeracy, working with others, computer use and continuous learning competencies. Students will learn the skills necessary for entry-level or semi-skilled employment, including some safety certification.
The 12-week ESWP Early Childhood Education Level 1 program gives you the knowledge and skills you need to work in a variety of child care settings. The program includes essential skills training, First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Managing Food Safety and a 60 hour practicum.
